FAQs

Do you accept insurance?

I do not accept insurance. If clients have out-of-network benefits, they can submit the provided Superbill, which includes the necessary codes and diagnoses for partial reimbursement to you. I do not contact insurance companies directly.

Potential clients should contact their insurance provider to find out about rates of reimbursement, their deductible, and, seeing an out-of-network psychologist. Ask about the following behavioral health CPT code reimbursement rates: 90791 (intake), 90834 (45-minute individual) and 90846 and 90847 (family/parenting). Also ask about the number of visits allowed by your insurance provider.

What should I expect from our first session?

Prior to the first appointment I offer a brief courtesy phone call or virtual visit. This gives both of us a chance to get to know each other a bit. I am interested in getting an idea of your needs and reasons for seeking treatment. Then I will email an intake packet, consent form, and some questionnaires. Once those are completed and returned, I will contact you to schedule your first appointment.

If you prefer, the questionnaires can be completed during our first appointment.

I encourage you to come prepared with questions to help have a useful and productive exchange of information. The client’s history, goals for treatment, and current concerns will be important to discuss.
